Everything we sell will be picked and graded in the Apple Barn ready for purchase. We’ll give you a peck bag which you can fill up for $15 or simply pick a few at $2/pound. Use this link for more information about Pick-Your-Own Apples.
What does it cost to get it?
There is no cost to come to the farm or park, we want you to visit our retail Apple Barn anytime during normal operating hours. There is a small fee to visit the playground which helps us with upkeep & safety of the play area. Also there are various fees for activities during our Pumpkin Festival weekends.
Do you take credit cards?
We take Master Charge and VISA credit cards at the Apple Barn main check out as well as in the Concession Stand. During special events all our other stations are cash only as they do not have access to phone lines.
What can I do during the week?
Depending on the time of year during the week you will find our retail Apple Barn, Concession Stand (usually after July 4th) and Playground open. All other activities –such as Pumpkin Festival hayrides, pumpkin patch, corn maze & U pick Apple Picking– are limited to weekends only.
May I bring my pet?
No, unfortunately due to abuse by others we’ve had to stop allowing visitors to bring their pets to the farm. We have various animals around the property (including the petting zoo during the Pumpkin Festival) and for their protection as well as yours we’ve had to discontinue that practice. Thank you for understanding.
What about a service animal?
ADA-defined service animals are welcome if under leash and under control. A service animal is a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability.
Is outside food allowed?
While we hope you will take advantage of the many interesting offerings we have in our concession stand, we also understand that you may have dietary and budget needs so your food and drinks are permitted. In no case is alcohol ever permitted.
Do you close for inclement weather?
Sometimes. If you have any concerns that, due to rain or storms, we might be closed, please give us a call 270.781.5303. In the case of an event closure we will announce on our website and social media accounts.
Can you accommodate wheelchairs?
We welcome visitors with wheelchairs. While there are parts of the farm that will be difficult to maneuver, we do see our guests enjoying most of the farm. The Apple Barn, Concession Stand and main restrooms are accessible. However, the Hayride Wagon to the Pumpkin Patch is not wheelchair accessible. You are welcome to park closer to the Barn or pull up and drop off those needing extra assistance if close parking is not available (during special events.)

What about parking?
There is no charge for parking at Jackson’s Orchard. This is a working farm so we have a small amount of paved parking which is supplemented by an adjacent field lot with gravel paths. During special festival events you will be parking in farm fields which, while we do our best to protect everyone involved, are subject to the weather. So please make your decisions accordingly.
What type of activities do you have for children?
During our regular season we have a children’s playground featuring our 60 foot long Cider Slider as well as many other items to climb, play and swing on. Another free play area is available for those 3 and under to enjoy under their parent’s supervision.

We will proudly host your birthday party (weather permitting) anytime we are open (Call 2707815303 to schedule) – April through October. However special party arrangements need to be made during our busy Pumpkin Festival weekends. Use this link for more information.
My child is having a field trip to your farm and I want to attend also. Do I need to pay?
In accordance with your school’s policy – Yes, all parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles that want to accompany their child are welcome. There is no charge for teachers or chaperones.
Can I freeze Jackson’s Orchard Apple Cider?
Yes, you can. Cider freezes beautifully. Just open the container, pour out about a cup to make room for expansion, re-cap and put in the freezer. It will taste just the same when you bring it out to thaw! Stock up so you will have plenty for the holidays and the winter ahead.
When you close in November, what do you do? Go to Hawaii?
We wish! Immediately after closing, we clean up the farm from Pumpkin Festival and then prepare the farm for winter. We also continue our on-going pruning and replacement program among our some 7,000 trees (this takes a while). And as we get closer to spring we do a general repair and replacement of all the farm facilities to prepare for opening again in mid-April. It is a little slower paced in December, but there is no time for Hawaii!
